Movie-making for the Masses
In conjunction with the opening of Verizon's flagship store at Minneapolis’s Mall of America, we launched Stop-Motion Studio, a fun, hands-on workshop that provides everything you need to direct your own (very) short film. Guests chose from among three different scenes, selected their cast, and developed their storyline, aided by a set of uniquely designed props with animation tricks built in. They then mounted their smartphone on the custom fixture and used the free Vine app to shoot and share their final creation. The workshop was a huge success: of the participants surveyed, 100% said they had fun, and 95% said they learned something new.
