I was the UX design lead for Panera Bread's first native iOS mobile application and optimized mobile website. The app was designed during a time when very few restaurants had ordering capabilities, let alone a multitude of different fulfillment methods. I led a team of UX designers to develop the underlying mobile strategy, design every feature of the app and mobile website, and ultimately reimagine key operational processes (such as Rapid Pick-Up). The following are just a few features of the app:


  • Order for dining in, Rapid Pick-up, or delivery

  • Highly customized ordering options

  • Express order (leveraging saved favorites and payment information)

  • MyPanera loyalty program integration (redemption across multiple channels)
