Georgia Tech: Research Library of the 21st Century
Type: Experience Masterplan
Client: Georgia Tech
Role: Creative Director
The Georgia Tech library is undergoing a massive renovation in conjunction with a majority of the library’s physical collection moving offsite (although accessible for delivery within 24 hours of request). Completely reimagined spaces, services, and interactions are supported by a series of media installations that will help the library become the model research library of the 21st century—connected, responsive to a sea of changes in academic needs, and dedicated to the stewardship of analog information in a digital age. The installations instill pride and bring attention to people, places, and pursuits around campus. They also encourage direct collaboration among students. Our team developed the underlying creative and content strategy for the installations, and tested our ideas with high-fidelity mockups, motion tests, and physical prototypes.
